A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result experience. New Bedford Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. If you send a message, we use the information in it only to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Like most hosted services, the site may create routine logs containing an IP address, browser information, viewed pages, and time of access. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand use of its local-records pages. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
That limited information supports operation, troubleshooting, aggregate traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links lead to Massachusetts and New Bedford record portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Each destination controls information submitted there under its own terms and privacy practices. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company and are covered by that company’s rules.
Who Can Receive Data
Hosting and support providers may process the routine logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure or as otherwise required by law.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because New Bedford Residents Directory has no visitor accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a service holds. Because we keep very little, we can review the contact mailbox and relevant logs and remove information found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Massachusetts state, Bristol County, and New Bedford public records are controlled by their custodians, so a correction or removal request for those records belongs with that office.
